Genomics Research Associate
May 15, 2024The Institute for Interdisciplinary Data Sciences’ (IIDS) Genomics and Bioinformatics Resources Core (GBRC) is currently hiring a full-time Genomics Research Associate (GRA). The GRA will assist in the operation and maintenance of sophisticated research equipment to produce cutting edge genome-scale data. They will assist the IIDS Genomics Lab Services Manager, Bioinformatician, and clients to develop and execute projects that utilize next generation sequencing technologies for genetic, genomic, metagenomic, metatranscriptomic, targeted sequencing, genotyping, and related studies. The GRA also assists the Manager and Bioinformatician by providing quotes, tracking services, billing, and stocking supplies. The GRA may inform, advise, and educate many on and off-campus clients on effective use of GBRC User Core equipment and sequencing technologies.
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field
- Required Experience: Two years of post-bachelor’s research experience related to the domain of this position
